Although originally from Slovenia, I would describe myself as a British studio potter, based in London. I studied at Clay Collage Stoke and did further training at Maze Hill Pottery as an apprentice to Lisa Hammond MBE. I’m currently working at Crown Works Pottery.

I’m drawn to making quiet, simple forms with an emphasis on the functional qualities of each piece. I enjoy using local raw materials where possible, imbuing each object with a sense of place. The quality of clay and glazes are also an important consideration during the creative process. I have a particular interest in soda and wood firing, as these methods bring a level of unpredictability that gives individual character to each pot.

I make a range of reduction-fired stoneware pots for everyday domestic use and aspire to make timeless pieces that can be passed on from one generation to the next.
